Jonah’s been obsessed with music his entire life. He started to teach himself piano, guitar, bass, and drums at the age of eight. Jonah draws much of his musical inspiration from bands like Black Sabbath, The Sword, (old) Green Day, Depeche Mode, The Smashing Pumpkins, Van Halen, Killswitch Engage, As I lay Dying, Meshuggah, Tesseract, The Cure, Rush, Jimi Hendrix, Slowdive, Ride, Catherine Wheel, Hammock, Tycho and countless others.
When Jonah was growing up, his father was in a band that greatly influenced him. He attended many of their shows and dreamed of getting on stage and playing just like his dad one day.
Jonah formed a band in high school with his friends Matt Smith and Greg Brandt. They started playing talent shows in schools and then moving on to bigger venues. They recorded their first studio album at Rax Tracks Studios in Chicago in 2012 but sadly didn’t have enough funds in the end to pay for the content. The band split up in 2012 after being together for five years.
Jonah is happily married to a beautiful and unconditionally loving woman and has two children.
