JonesAndYou

JonesAndYou is a Nordic indie-folk-pop ensemble and an art collective helmed by singer-songwriter Jones Häkkinen. Their music draws from the ageless tradition of American folk music mixed with the somber tones of Nordic melancholy. 

Jones Häkkinen is a Helsinki based singer-songwriter who began his career in the early 00’s by playing 80’s influenced hard rock. His music and live shows were filled with wailing guitars and overtly aggressive masculine showmanship but in the back of his mind he always felt the calling of a different kind of musical and emotional expression. 

“When we ended our last tour with my hard-rock group I just realized I had had enough of all the posing and bullying as the classic rock and roll frontman. It was time to be authentic, express my sensitivity and let in new influences. It was time to tell the real story. ”
