Leading space music composer Jonn Serrie has been looking to the heavens for inspiration for many years. Hailing from a family ensconced in the aviation field, Jonn Serrie soars and glides with his hands at the controls of analog and digital synthesizers. Although Jonn produced several pop-oriented instrumentals, like his 1990 release Tingri, his rhythmic outings generally have an understated heroic feel. His latest recording ‘Ascendant Destiny,’ released on February 23, 2024 sees Jonn back where he is musically most at home, that being ambient space-music journeys for which he has long been regarded as a pioneer. Ascendant Destiny is an immersive musical experience that takes the listener on a meditative journey and of which Jonn says, “Time and Distance are a reflection of each other and I explore and manifest this concept on Ascendant Destiny.”
