American woodwind player, composer, and educator Jordan Ferrin hails from Los Angeles, California. He considers himself a world citizen. From 2013-2017 Jordan traveled the world working as a cruise ship musician, living a life that otherwise takes a lifetime to pursue--a life unlike any other.
Jordan left for the United Kingdom in September, 2018 to pursue a Master of Music at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London. He returned to Los Angeles in 2020, where he began planning to record Tales of Transcendence, the debut album from his project The Jordan Ferrin Storyband.
While in London Jordan debuted The Jordan Ferrin Storyband at reputable venues across the city, such as Oliver's Jazz Bar and Kansas Smitty's. The Storyband is dedicated to music written about particular places in the world, the experiences in those places, and how the stories of those experiences are inherent to each piece of music. Every one of Jordan's experiences is as diverse as his musical influences: from Horace Silver to The Bad Plus; Led Zeppelin to Joshua Redman; Gustav Mahler to Radiohead; and The Brian Blade Fellowship to Sonny Rollins.

Through his music, teaching, and the lessons of his travels, Jordan's aim is to connect others to the rest of the world, and the rest of humanity.
