I grew up in the Andalusian triangle of Arte—Jerez, Cádiz, and Sevilla, playing Spanish guitars and messing around an old Pleyel piano with my dad and maestro Jose Ramon Sr. At 7, I fell in love with Latin congas and bongos. My home was filled with Flamenco, Spanish, Creole, and Latin folk musics during family celebrations. Singing and making music with family and friends was and is always my joy. The flamenco guitar my dad offered me when I was 14 is still by my side, much like his enduring presence in our memories and hearts.
My music is a tribute to the wonders of roundtrip “musica de ida y vuelta”, the fertile interplay of Latin mestizo influences and profound souls exchanged between Flamenco, Fado, Criollo and Caribbean trovas across the Atlantic over centuries.
I craft and record music I love, composing and exploring in my studio, sharing and performing at private events and concerts.
Music is a mysterious yet infalible driver of conviviality, friendship and peace.
