Dutch singer Josee Koning is the leading lady in Brazilian music in The Netherlands. She has worked with some of the best musicians from Brazil, like <a href="spotify:artist:64neTfIIdYKNhJ9zxoz3jF" data-name="Ivan Lins">Ivan Lins</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6fV3ZNUY8BCP45yuCWWDez" data-name="Dori Caymmi">Dori Caymmi</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3DF0ClNOUuvS3gh8V8sRJH" data-name="João Bosco">João Bosco</a>. Josee has always had a passion for Brazilian music. She is the co-founder of the legendary Dutch Brazilian fusion group <a href="spotify:artist:6vFHrgqUZcVBGh6QuleGoa" data-name="Batida">Batida</a>, that recorded three albums, toured internationally and played at the North Sea Jazz Festival. Her first solo-album <a href="spotify:album:75g18PXj3Cv4HxPuPNuoSu" data-name="Tribute To Antonio Carlos Jobim">Tribute To Antonio Carlos Jobim</a> (1995) was produced and arranged by <a href="spotify:artist:6fV3ZNUY8BCP45yuCWWDez" data-name="Dori Caymmi">Dori Caymmi</a>, who also produced <a href="spotify:album:1g2TBsvGyxgsrvrzE55ptn" data-name="Dois Mundos">Dois Mundos</a> (1999). <a href="spotify:artist:46NlRKST93Z5JgAqeR4uHC" data-name="Leonardo Amuedo">Leonardo Amuedo</a> produced Josee’s album <a href="spotify:album:2dAhocrOctQdBXKKgpZX8d" data-name="Recorded in Rio">Recorded in Rio</a> (2003). In 2005 Josee recorded in Brasil her first album in Dutch: <a href="spotify:album:6pZBl2X1FFo6Ehtthp7uCG" data-name="Verdronken Vlinder">Verdronken Vlinder</a>. Her album <a href="spotify:album:7rQuLIB35eMsioZqEENuzu" data-name="Bem Brasilero">Bem Brasilero</a> (2008) gained an Edison nomination.
