Merging the new and old school in what can be considered a journey to find his own form of music expression, with strong roots and influences from Jamaican music, dancehall, and hip hop culture.
Joydan began his career in the reggae sound system scene in Portugal, and has since performed throughout the country at venues such as MUSA Festival, FMM, and internationally in places such as Rototom Sunsplash.
His first official single was released in 2018 in a limited vinyl press, and was featured in Reggae Vibes Magazine in France. This was followed by an album released in 2020 called "2050," a Reggae Roots project in collaboration with Gwari Music, a collection of works with a strong influence of the Jamaican golden era, which shows one of Joydan's main influences and eclectic music realm.
Joydan sound has evolved and been curated over time, and it is frequently heard on national radio stations.
