JS Runner is a bilingual artist from Ottawa representing Canada’s National Capital Region, including Gatineau. Since taking music seriously in 2020, he has been building a distinct artistic world rooted in honesty, spiritual reflection and modern city life, speaking to a generation searching for meaning, identity and hope.

Blending French and English, JS Runner moves across three core sounds: reflective hip-hop, Afroswing/R&B-influenced Afro music, and hard-hitting trap/drill. Inspired by both the streets and scripture, his music bridges cinematic storytelling, raw realism and Kingdom-centered themes through an African diaspora lens.

In 2023, he launched his own showcase series spotlighting rising Christian artists across hip-hop, Afrobeats, R&B and pop, helping push the next wave of urban artists throughout the TOM corridor — Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. As his audience continues to grow, JS Runner is emerging as one of Canada’s next urban icons with a vision reaching far beyond his city.
