Juan Maria

Juan Maria is a promising alternative rock band that is emerging in the music scene and officially formed
in October 2023. The band consists of five members - Clyde Sausa on vocals and guitar, Dave Herrera on
lead guitar, Charles Canlas on dynamic rhythm guitar, Edmel Intila on Bass and Lance Mejia on Drums
and acting manager.
The band started out in 2019, where college friends Lance and Clyde discussed reuniting and forming a
band. Lance (Drums), who's in an official band (Tanakuta), decided to form and manage a band in which
he collaborated with Clyde's (Vocals) song writing skills. Lance then recruited Arianne (former bassist)
and childhood friend Charles (rhythm guitar) who was in a band (Grace under fire) at that time. Later,
Charles recruited Dave (lead guitar) from their former band Grace under fire to add dynamics, bringing
his soulful lead guitaring skills. The band would gather to jam and share their love for music. They officially named the band "Juan Maria" on account of having 1 female (Arianne) in the group. However, Arianne was not able to
commit to the band due to circumstances. Lance decided to recruit Edmel (bass) from the band (Linya)
Juan Maria's music is a fresh take on classic alternative rock, infused with a modern edge. Their lyrics,
penned by Clyde, speak of youthful dreams, challenges, and the pursuit of freedom, resonating with
their generation.
