Born in the 90’s Juan Pablo Arias is part of the generation of musicians that represents a new chapter for Colombian music in the 21st century. Tradition seems to have finally been incorporated into contemporary music and, finding its place, dialogues horizontally with the global popular music. All this nourishes the sonorous discourse from the drums, which makes explicit the defense of themes inherent to a country in effervescence. Violent almost always, but poetic and with the necessary strength to remain and resist.
