Judy Granville is one of a rare breed of singer-songwriters who began performing and producing records in their sixties. Judy retired and moved to Brighton, following in the footsteps of many musicians who have made that city their home, and pretty soon she bought a Fender electric guitar. What emerged was a prolific singer-songwriter.
In 2016 Judy released an EP entitled NISREEN comprising five songs. In 2020, she released a single, HIDE AWAY, an anthemic tune which reflects on the global lockdown predicament. In 2021 Judy followed this up with I'LL SURVIVE, which is a punk-rock tongue-in-cheek diatribe. Her next song, released in 2023 , entitled HOLD ON, is a song with an upbeat tempo, written to give us encouragement and optimism in these uncertain times. Judy’s latest tune is BE STILL AND WAIT. This song is a blend of vocals and spoken word narrative plus a raucous rock chorus. And take a look at the whacky video which illustrates the story!
