Born in Salvador of Bahia - Brazil but grew up in the multi-cultural city of Gothenburg/Sweden, raised on rap music Julimar started out as an MC (J-Son) at the age of 14, writing music and performing around the country until his work expanded and led him into working opportunities with various international and Swedish acts and also got him a Grammy nomination for his debut album “Never Half Stepping”. Julimar has during the years as one of Scandinavia’s hottest songwriters collaborated with artists such as Steve Aoki, Axwell/Ingrosso, Little Mix, H.E.R, Pitbull, Garmiani, Yall, Timbuktu and many many more… His style flows effortlessly between smooth and classical singing to urban and rap with an exiting twist that reminds you of his South American roots. With a talent for writing real, meaningful and playful lyrics his stories takes you on a documentary so you can peer into his world. Julimar is also a member of the group Sto Cultr.
