Freshly returned from her « Great Travelling Show » (a DIY tour across France and California playing in people’s living rooms) and currently touring with Chilly Gonzales, french art-pop singer-songwriter Norma is releasing a new song, « Music Is My Husband » on september 20th, along with a mini-musical she directed for it. It follows her sophomore self-produced album, HELL.O.V.E., released last may on her own label, a collection of intimate and raw testimonies, renewing the codes of the love song with boldness and wit.
Born in 1990 in the south of France, Norma’s music takes roots in a very musical childhood, caught between a harmonica playing/Springsteen worshiping father and a Beatlemaniac mother. Never picking a side, Norma refined her growing sensibility by daydreaming for hours in front of MTV after school, soon to fall in love with Fiona Apple, Alanis Morissette, Tori Amos and Kate Bush, independent artists going by their own rules.
Singer-songwriter, musician and producer, Norma also directs music videos, creating for her songs nostalgic and atypical movies.
She lives mainly out of a little pink suitcase, sharing her time between her "cabin in the pines" in southwestern France, Los Angeles, and wherever her songs will take her.
True to herself, Norma follows her path like in an indie road movie, preferring the side roads and dives into murky waters to the infernal Highway.
