Jwaydan is a classically trained pianist, musical composer, songwriter and singer who began performing as a pianist and cellist as a child musical-prodigy, at the age of six, performing Mozart, Chopin and Tchaikovsky, and playing live throughout Europe as a pianist and cellist between the ages of six and fifteen, under the care of her mother, an internationally renown pianist. Jwaydan has been hailed as an 'extraordinarily gifted child musical composer, performer & artist', by the international concert-pianist, Kendall Taylor . Later, she began to compose orchestral scores of music age twelve, capturing the attention of multiple music conservatoires with her talent & eventually gaining a scholarship to study at the Guildhall school of music at age 12 as a composer, cellist & film composer. She graduated from the Guildhall age 18, with a masters degree in film composition, making her one of the only students to graduate so young, with a completed musical degree. Shortly after, she wrote the song that would go onto become a global hit. ('We control the sunlight'), which went onto garner 10 million youtube views, over 80 million radio plays worldwide, impacting fans with her poignant lyrics & powerful voice. She wrote a follow-up (coming home) which garnered over 3 million youtube views shortly after. In an interview, Jwaydan has expressed she never intended to release electronic dance music, and that classical and alternative pop music is truly where her heart is.
