K-YO

Before the world knew me as K-YO I was born as Eric Jackson on May 14, 1987 in the beautiful city of Houston Texas. For as long as I can remember music has always been a part of my life. It started with my grandfather and he passed it on to me. All my lyrical inspiration comes from real life experience that I gain in my life releasing six mixtapes, it was time for me to move to the next level to lease a full link album. In 2016 after two years of recording setbacks and tragedy in the family I released my first independent album tiled Houston the album. It was a very slept on album and not many people received it with open arms. Six months after the release of my first album I went back to the studio for my sophomore album. Fearing that it would receive the same fate as my first album, I gave it my all and I had to evolve As a artists. In 2017 my second album HOUSTON 2 the next chapter was released and it caught on like wildfire everybody who told me that my first album was ok my second album was Amazing . But before the album came out I shot two music videos One for the road so far from my first album and King KO the first song from the Second album. Houston 2 generated four top singles and suddenly everybody knew who I was. After months of touring across the country and the devastating effect of hurricane Harvey in 2018 I release my third album HOUSTON three united we stand and are there of the city coming together in our darkest hour.
