Kabinett is an indie rock band from Germany that has managed to captivate its audience with their remarkable sound. Previous releases tell of a sonic and emotional ride and are always carried by the band's unique vocals and their restive spirit.
Their debut EP Not About Us was released in March 2023. The EP features a comprehensive indie pop sound with influences from funk, disco and rock music while the themes of their songs tell abstract stories of various characters. With the release of their second EP Blackout in March 2024, they ushered in the end of the first phase and the beginning of a new, dark aesthetic and mood. Musically, the band has opted for unworn indie rock and developed a characteristic sound. The lyrics became more autobiographical, more approachable, more real. In May 2024 their first Germany tour was followed by an even more ambitious festival summer that set new standards with a show at the Hurricane Festival.
Kabinett’s maverick ambitions can not only be seen in their live shows: 2024 their third EP Sunflowers follows, while further releases are already being planned. Kabinett is no longer a fringe phenomenon - Kabinett has crashed into the German indie rock scene and has decided to stay!
Kabinett is influenced and inspired by its musical environment. Bands like Bilderbuch, FIBEL and the Arctic Monkeys have just as much influence on the band as Foals, Mando Diao and Giant Rooks.
