Kadri Voorand is an Estonian singer-songwriter – one of the most authentic live performers in Europe’s jazz scene today – who uniquely blends traditional music, folk, jazz, and improvisational pop, along with her captivating storytelling.
A musical storyteller at heart, Kadri engages her listeners as active participants in her performances, with Jazzwise describing her audiences as “hanging on her every note.” Her highly engaging, ritualistic, and deeply personal live shows, often alongside bassist Mihkel Mälgand, transcend language barriers and have taken her to major stages worldwide, including the EFG London Jazz Festival, Pori Jazz, and the Beijing Nine Gates Jazz Festival.
She is the founding member, artistic director, and main composer of Estonian Voices, an acclaimed a cappella group whose three albums have each won an Estonian Music Award for Best Jazz Album and who have shared the stage with the legendary Take 6.
