Up and coming artist Kaia Vieira spent last summer busking outside London tube stations from Brixton to Shoreditch, building her fanbase with just her workstation and loop pedal (creating beats on the fly), while spending weekends writing and recording her second EP, 'Vikāra'. Inspired by classic Trip-Hop, Jungle and DnB she crafts ominous autobiographical songs propelled by her striking soulful vocals. On stage she translates her dark beat driven songs effortlessly, either solo or with her live band, wowing her audiences.
Kaia most recently teamed up with renowned DnB producer and DJ, Kings Of The Rollers' Bladerunner, who remixed her EP's leading single 'Where Did You Go?'. Juno Download reviews, 'Switching the smoky, sultry trip-hop flavours of the original into a purring sub-soaked rolling beast, Bladerunner keeps things crisp and roomy allowing more than enough space for Kaia's vocals to soar through as if she wrote the lyrics to D&B in the first place. Don't nobody go nowhere.' The remix is now available on all online platforms.
