Growing up on the sun-drenched island of Gran Canaria and now based in Berlin, Kalyma’s musical journey reflects his diverse background and evolving creative vision. As a co-founder of the label Solide, alongside MYNY, Kalyma has carved out a distinctive sound marked by rhythmic intensity and analog warmth.
His productions blend deep, driving basslines with organic percussion, shakers, congas, and vocals, creating a dynamic and immersive groove. His 2015 debut release Sacrosanct on Solide caught the attention of the electronic music scene, receiving support from some of the most respected DJs worldwide.
After completing his studies, Kalyma turned his full focus to music, establishing a collaborative studio space with his fellow artists Keinemusik, Modha and TEILE. His work continues to push forward, rooted in rhythm, analog textures, and a deep love for sound.
