Starting his journey in the music scene as a nightclub owner in Cape Town at the age of 22, Mickael, better known as Maga, found his calling behind the decks. It was the club's resident DJ who ignited this passion, sharing invaluable knowledge during countless hours spent honing his craft when the venue was closed. It quickly became clear that this newfound passion would shape his future.
A pivotal moment arrived in 2017 with his first experience at Burning Man. Since then, he has graced the playa 9 times, performing on iconic stages such as Robot Heart, Mayan Warrior, and Maxa. Maga's ability to connect with the crowd through infectious sets is his hallmark, effortlessly curating the perfect atmosphere whether he plays an intimate club, a big stage, or an afterparty. His DJing ethos centers on maintaining a vibrant energy while allowing the music to breathe and evolve on the dancefloor.
In 2022, Scenarios emerged as a natural extension of a strong musical connection between friends Emanuel Satie, Maga, Sean Doron, and Tim Engelhardt. Driven by a shared love for music and an immediate creative synergy, the DJ and label collective quickly gained recognition with their releases. By 2025, their collective energy has translated into a packed schedule of 24 Scenarios shows. Their music has garnered support from renowned artists including Rüfüs Du Sol, Solomun, Who Made Who, Adriatique, Black Coffee, Blondish and many more...
