Kaniva has been gaining momentum, with his hard-hitting punchlines, audacious attitude & ability to paint a vivid image with his storytelling in regards to issues with homelessness, mental health & more!
2013 he sold out his first headline show & opened for <a href="spotify:artist:6vXTefBL93Dj5IqAWq6OTv" data-name="French Montana">French Montana</a> at the IndigO2.
2014 he toured with <a href="spotify:artist:4ITNzglfuGtfHgDu29GIMW" data-name="Big Narstie">Big Narstie</a>, sold out his 2nd headline show & closed the year by opening for <a href="spotify:artist:7hJcb9fa4alzcOq3EaNPoG" data-name="Snoop Dogg">Snoop Dogg</a> also at IndigO2.
Kaniva became homeless & struggled with releasing music throughout 2015.
He released an EP telling this story in early 2016.
2017 he opened for <a href="spotify:artist:0nvvVQhPQGkYTJlThLbJeu" data-name="OG Maco">OG Maco</a> on his world tour, headlined iLuvlive & opened for <a href="spotify:artist:6eXZu6O7nAUA5z6vLV8NKI" data-name="Little Simz">Little Simz</a> at her 'Welcome to Wonderland' headline show at Camden Roundhouse Rising Festival.
His explosive Blackbox freestyle took storm with viral success early 2018 & he become one of the first artists to be signed to <a href="spotify:artist:4PCeJ2EIn3YtzYYRsHHWyy" data-name="GRM Daily">GRM Daily</a>’s GRM Records.
2020 he dropped 3 EPs at #1 on iTunes. Was championed as one to watch by the legendary <a href="spotify:artist:3xhX0nrkThoOaGZZoFnCAt" data-name="DJ Semtex">DJ Semtex</a>, who announced Kaniva would be opening the Wireless 2020 #WirelessConnect & was also one of VEVO’s DSCVR artists in 2020.
2021 he made his TV debut on #DoBlackLivesStillMatter & #TonightWithTarget which both aired on BBC Three.
2022 saw Kaniva perform MainStage at Strawberries & Creem Festival.
He’s currently part of The MOBO’s UnSung Class Of 2023.
