I’m Katana, a singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur (born June 21, 2000). I was born in San Jose, and now base myself between the the Bay Area, Lynwood, and Madeira Island in Portugal. I’m completely self-taught as both a vocalist and a writer.
My background is a huge part of who I am — my mom’s side has deep roots in Jalisco, Mexico, while my dad’s side traces back to Madeira Island, Portugal, and São Paulo, Brazil. That mix of cultures shows up naturally in my music, where I often blend English with Spanish and Portuguese to reflect where I come from.
Beyond music, I’m an entrepreneur, moving with independence and ownership in everything I do. My art is about connection, honesty, and creating space for people to feel seen.
