With open-hearted songwriting and a voice that recalls sorrow reconciling with hope, Kate Tucker’s music reflects the chiaroscuro of life with compelling honesty and strength. Unafraid to share her own experiences with loss, her confessions carry a light that burns softly throughout her songs. They follow a throughline of healing, a way to exist despite suffering. But before it begins to weigh heavy, Kate throws down a shiny pop pain reliever or a call-to-action anthem when the time to speak is now. And so we have Singles Club, a series of songs full of life and energy that couldn’t be more perfectly timed.
Singles Club features songs written and produced by Kate Tucker and Gregory Lattimer (Albert Hammond Jr, The Strokes), recorded in Lattimer’s Nashville studio, with the exception of “Real Love” written by Kate, Grammy-nominated Alissa Moreno and Evan Coffman, who produced and recorded the track at Starstruck, and "Social Anxiety," written with Moreno and Chuck Bein in Moreno's basement one Saturday morning. Kate sang it that same day on a sore throat, and that's the take we have to finish an EP of honest exploration and love.
