Katie Kim, better known by the mononym KATIE, made her meteoric rise in 2018 with her debut single “Remember” and her EP, LOG. Her early success was “no small feat for essentially a debut artist navigating the complexities of a multicultural international pop crossover.” (NYLON) With a strong global fan base and early nods from the likes of Billboard, Pitchfork and Forbes, KATIE’s received overwhelming support as she carved out her own lane. Born in South Korea and raised in New Jersey, KATIE came of age discovering her voice in a mix of cultures and identities. Delicate yet powerful, KATIE’s sound is reflective of her jazz training at Berklee School of Music and her admiration for R&B icons like India.Arie, Lalah Hathaway and Anthony Hamilton. Her sophomore EP, Our Time is Blue, released in 2020, is one of her most personal, strongest bodies of work. It takes the singer’s familiar soulful flair and dynamic vocals into a different dimension, amplifying new sounds and a vulnerability never shared before.
