Based out of Santa Ana, California, Kay Nine Tha Boss grew up listening to many types of music. The love he developed for Rap helped grow him into a well-seasoned artist. Music not only helped him to cope with everyday life but eventually became a viable platform for Kay Nine to express himself. Kay Nine brings a strong Rap base back to Hip Hop, featuring an aggressive Urban sound. Kay Nine has a unique sound with a “West Coast feel” blending beats and styles from all corners of the map. Kay Nine has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Mozzy, Suga Free, Spice 1, & many more. He has also performed with Ice Cube, Nipsey Hussle, E-40, to name a few. Kay Nine has featured in XXL, The Source, Thisis50, Hip Hop Weekly and others. Kay Nine independently released his debut album, “Reality Check” in 2010. He followed up with his album “Tha Backstreets” in 2011.. Kay Nine's single “On The Set” was a huge success in the summer of 2013 and was fundamental in establishing the foundation of his fan base. He has released multiple mixtapes, including “Cruise Control” presented by Dj King Assassin (2Pac’s Dj). This self-driven artist is heavily regarded for his single “Active” featuring Spider Loc & C-Hecc, released in 2018. In May of 2019, He signed with Rap legend Spice 1 at Thug World Music Group.
