Innovative dream-pop and avant-pop icon, Kazu Makino, aka KAZU, has released a solo album ADULT BABY, after playing for decades as the singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist of New York band Blonde Redhead. Kazu has now switched focus and plunged into a new musical adventure: ADULT BABY, the first solo album debut via Adult Baby Records / !K7 (out September 2019).
Conceived and delivered on the island of Elba, Italy, where KAZU has decided to spend some of her life, 'Adult Baby' was recorded in New York, Berlin and Milan, and features significant pioneers of the global pop, electronic, rock and indie scenes such as the celebrated Ryuichi Sakamoto, the famous Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco (Atoms for Peace, Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Byrne), the acclaimed drummer Ian Chang (Son Lux, Landlady), Greg Saunier( Deerhoof), Clarice Jensen(ACME) and Sam Griffin Owens( Sam Evians) , who co-produced with KAZU.
