Autolux are an American band from Los Angeles. The band was formed in 2001 by musicians Greg Edwards (vocals, guitar, piano), Carla Azar (vocals,drums), and Eugene Goreshter (vocals, bass). Their first release was an EP called Demonstration (2001), followed by three full-length albums: Future Perfect (2004), Transit Transit (2010) and Pussy’s Dead (2016).
Known for their eclectic influences and sonic experimentation, Autolux are almost impossible to categorize. All three members have traded lead vocal duties since the beginning. Autolux's music fuses beautiful layers of hypnotic guitar arrangements, unique driving drum beats with dissonant post punk avant-guard sensibilities - giving an overall cinematic quality to everything they record. Autolux’s first full-length album, Future Perfect was released in November 2004. The Los Angeles Times called Future Perfect a group exercise in using technology to re-imagine traditional instruments as a sleek monolith of detached feedback and brutal drumming."

But the band’s 3rd album Pussy's Dead is particularly transformative, showing the most progression and departure from any previous Autolux albums they’ve released. With all of Autolux's artistic exploration - Carla, Greg, and Eugene's melodic sensibilities and lyrics remain the guiding force behind their music. They are currently working on their forth full -length album.
