Kris Beats, known professionally as KB808 (@kb808.music), is an Australian-based, Lebanese-born DJ, songwriter, record producer, and recording studio entrepreneur. His passion for music sparked in high school, where his talent quickly earned him the title of official school DJ by the age of 14. In 2000, KB808’s career gained momentum when he remixed Destiny’s Child’s "Jumpin' Jumpin'" for DMC UK PHAT BEATS and Blaze’s "My Beat" for HOUSE NATION. Since then, he’s worked with a diverse range of artists, including Dani Padron, Coolio, Kara, Double O Smoove, JDro, GMC, Gymie, Jase, and more.
Kris began his professional music career at DMC Records in Prahran in the early 2000s, collaborating with industry talents like Gab Oliver and Atom 1 while producing Techno and Drum & Bass. His deep-rooted passion for recording studios developed early, as he soaked up valuable production techniques and analog/digital gear knowledge from experienced mentors. This expertise has allowed him to thrive across multiple aspects of music production. Known for his mixing skills and genre-spanning passion, Kris is a go-to producer for artists looking to elevate their sound. His specialties include Indie/Dance, Electronic, Dubstep, and Hip-Hop. Currently, Kris is dedicated to nurturing emerging talent, while continuing to produce and record both solo and collaborative projects at Cosmic Bounce Records in Melbourne, Australia.
