Kris Di Angelis is a London based music artist in very much his own lane. His work gets a lot of attention, yet he prefers to remain somewhat illusive. Starting out DJing in London’s most underground gay dance clubs, he hit the big time with his debut single Turn The Music Louder (Rumble) - EP (feat. Tinie Tempah) entering the UK singles chart at number one, beating One Direction in a much-publicised chart battle. Since then he’s released standalone singles featuring a wide range of artists, some commercial, some more underground.
The fashion world have always been hugely supportive, naming him official DJ of London Fashion Week three years running. Fendi used his Darkskin Queen' single for their anniversary advertising campaign and Linda Evangelista’s comeback. KDA has always been perfectly positioned between music, clubs and fashion.
There’s an ‘If you know you know’ quality to KDA and his output. Never really interested in drawing out people’s attention, instead he releases music that gets it on its own merit. His singles Hate Me (feat. Patrick Cash) (Edit) and The Human Stone (feat. Angie Stone) were overnight viral sensations, in totally opposing areas of dance music.
2025 marks his ten year anniversary in music, and involves releases planned with labels UMN, Good Company and Ministry of Sound Records with an incredibly interesting set of collaborators. With so much music coming, maybe this is the year he lets us into the party.
