Kei was raised in the highlands of Papua New Guinea where he calls home. After studying music in Boston, he relocated to Tokyo where he has been based since 2018.
In addition to his 90-minute acoustic solo performances “Dokusō”, his ever-changing electronic solo sets, and his project "blank manifesto" featuring long-form through-composed pieces, Kei regularly performs and records with various bands and artists including: Dos Monos, betcover!!, Urakami Souki, Hakushi Hasegawa, Geordie Greep, Shun Ishiwaka, Eiko Ishibashi, Jim O’Rourke, Otomo Yoshihide, Takuro Okada, etc.
