Keith David is a Melbourne-based, English/Australian musician. Keith plays guitar, mandolin, bass and keyboards and is self-taught.
While the electric guitar is prominent in his music, often present are ethereal keyboard textures whether supporting rhythmic progressions or teasing the ear with dream-like atmospheres. Acoustic guitars are a part of the overall fabric on many tracks and as stand-alone features in his instrumentals.
Keith incorporates vocal and guitar harmonies bringing another dimension of melody to the listener. He occasionally adds ‘field sounds’ as a means of providing extra context.
Although Keith's earliest music influences are late 60's icons such as The Beatles, Small Faces, The Kinks and Pink Floyd, some of his other influences include Riverside, Lunatic Soul, The Pineapple Thief and Michael Lapaj.
