Kelechi Ify is an artist born in Nigeria now based in the UK and have been in the music ministry full time since 1992. Although Kelechi started his music career as a drummer, at age 14, initially taught himself how to play the guitar and then went on to studying music to enhance his skill. He is now a multi–instrumentalist playing the drums, keyboard, bass guitar but specialises in the rhythm and/or acoustic guitar.
Kelechi has been privileged to create the sounds for several artists in the eastern part of Nigeria during the early stages of his music career which has resulted to him playing in over 500 albums. Since relocating to the UK, Kelechi has had the opportunity to work with other artists and producers including Adlan Cruz, Noel Robinson, Gabriel Eziashi, Msama Promotions (Tanzania) and many more. He has also ministered alongside Ron Kenoly, Muyiwa Olanrewaju and Nathaniel Bassey amongst others.
Kelechi’s unique gift in music ministrations and connecting his audience to the spiritual realm has taken him to several nations; Italy, Germany, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Ireland, Nigeria and the UK.
Kelechi has released eight albums so far; Mar 2017 Transcendent, Feb 2016 Swahili Sifa, Oct 2015 My portion, Aug 2015 Everlasting Arms, Sept 2014 You are, Feb 2012 My season, Apr 2009 Solutions and Feb 2007 Global praise.
