Born and raised in Hokkaido, Japan, Kenji Fujiwara worked as a civil servant in his job, but by 2021 Fujiwara was no longer satisfied with his career and decided to become a musician.
He began to produce works, primarily beat and ambient pieces.
Influenced by Japanese songs, Fujiwara creates equally nostalgic landscapes. At the heart of his world, however, is an awe of nature and a powerful sense of taking life seriously. Various tones flow back in time and breathe life into the music. It reminds him of the mysterious nature along with nostalgia.
Above all, scenes from his childhood are the source of inspiration for his work. Opening the door of the hardware synthesizer, the woven world takes on a nostalgic air.
It is natural to want to explore the unknown, just as the unfamiliar is more appealing than the familiar in everyday life.
Kenji Fujiwara's music is a ferryboat to the world of imagination and longing for something precious. His imagination holds a wonderful story waiting for the listener.
