Khontkar is a rapper, producer, songwriter, and entrepreneur from İzmir, Turkey, and a pioneer of trap music in the country. Emerging from Turkey’s underground hip-hop scene in the late 2000s, he built a distinctive sound influenced by Southern rap while shaping a new generation of artists and listeners.
In 2009, he founded RedKeys Music, an independent label that became a driving force in modern Turkish hip-hop. Through mixtapes, albums, and collaborations, he became one of the scene’s most influential independent voices, known for street narratives, melodic experimentation, and forward-thinking production.

As the driving force behind RedKeyGang, he helped bring trap music into the mainstream while maintaining an uncompromising artistic vision. His catalog spans acclaimed projects and hundreds of millions of streams.

Throughout his career, Khontkar has faced legal challenges and a period of incarceration, experiences that became a defining part of his public narrative and artistic perspective, also drawing wider attention to debates around censorship and freedom of expression in Turkey.
