Detroit-based producer K.I.D.D. got his foot in the door of the music industry via Southern rap, primarily that of former Cash Money <a href="spotify:artist:0ecnb1WPePfrHg4yfQfmqN">Hot Boy</a> <a href="spotify:artist:36HvjE9pV91jEjO1qBRidS">B.G.</a> The rapper discovered K.I.D.D. upon moving to Detroit from New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. <a href="spotify:artist:36HvjE9pV91jEjO1qBRidS">B.G.</a> was so impressed by the Detroit beatsmith that he worked with him extensively on Livin' Legend (2003), an album comprised almost entirely of K.I.D.D. productions. Subsequent <a href="spotify:artist:36HvjE9pV91jEjO1qBRidS">B.G.</a> albums, namely Life After Cash Money (2004) and The Heart of tha Streetz, Vol. 1 (2005), included further K.I.D.D. productions.
