Kim Bingham began as the frontwoman of Montreal ska phenomenon Me Mom & Morgentaler, earning her a reputation as a vibrant singer and stage performer.
She first broke out on her own with Mudgirl's "First Book" EP , touring North America to critical success. She later released The Kim Band album, "Girlology", her full-length follow-up rock record, featuring the hit "What a Drag".
In 2007, she performed and produced two albums: the soundtrack for TV series "Les Invincibles"(Warner Music Canada), and the EP "Intermede" (MMG). That year, Kim also won the Quebec television award Prix Gemeaux for Best TV Theme Song, for "The Heroes Take", from "Les Invincibles'' TV series.
Kim has moonlighted as a featured member of Bran Van 3000, also touring internationally as guitarist and vocalist with Nelly Furtado and Canadian singer David Usher.
Kim's album "Up!" (2012), a collection of self-penned, upbeat pop-rock anthems, was recorded in L.A. with producer John Kastner (Doughboys, All Systems Go) and musicians Gene Trautmann (QOTSA, Eagles of Death Metal), Jason Falkner (Jellyfish), and Chris Thorn (Blind Melon). The album was mixed by Mathias Schneeberger (Joseph Arthur, Burning Brides, Mark Lanegan).
Kim’s song “Bel Ami” from that album was selected as the theme song for American TV series “Good Trouble” (2019).
"Beppe Green'", Kim's latest single (2019), is a 2-minute Italian-pop summer song about fun times with a character called Beppe Green, a play on the name Giuseppe Verdi.
