KIN TALA is the moniker of Dom Rogers and Shee Juma - two producers whose songwriting stretches back to school days. Originally from Blackpool in the North West of England, the boys met at a band practice in college and played music together before exchanging a word. Becoming fast friends soon after, the pair wrote and recorded throughout university, fine-tuning their craft independently and dreaming up big ideas.
Blending aspects of indie, alternative, and post-rock, the boys debuted to regional acclaim, earning BBC Introducing support for early tracks which praised their proud, angsty tributes to the North’s musical heritage. Refusing to stay in one lane, they ventured boldly forward with their first major single, 'everything & all' in 2023 - the life-affirming track with dynamic samples that marked their commercial breakthrough on streaming platforms. Their 2024 self-released EP 'Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost' cemented their boundary-pushing ethos. Quintessentially TALA-esque, it praised, pondered, and mourned—an ode to community, kin, and those lost or yet to come.
In 2025, KIN TALA returned with Wander // Lost, a reimagining of their debut EP - NATWWAL, blending ambient textures, subtle electronic shifts, and stripped-back arrangements. With more bombastic singles like 'Howling' shaking things up once again, the pair continued to set the stage for a fresh perspective on the indie genre, releasing a brand new EP - Dead Fever in November 2025.
