Since 1997, KinderCore from Gütersloh have been celebrating their own brand of punk rock. The four gentlemen with their distinctive red bow ties always rely on German lyrics. Their range of topics, always delivered with plenty of humor and winks, spans from absurd everyday stories to social and contemporary critiques. Recently, the classic "Rita und Kurt" — a love story between the naive Rita and her AFD-voting Nazi boyfriend Kurt from Görlitz, which was thought to have vanished into the depths of German contemporary history — was brought back into the program. However, KinderCore primarily aim to entertain, not preach to, their audience. Song titles like "Rapunzel is dead" or "Tütensuppe, Kasperpuppe" promise loads of fun, and the accompanying music is guaranteed to make you want to dance or even pogo.
