King Kavalier is an up-and-coming DJ duo that has had a quick rise in popularity, offering a unique twist to the conventional electronic music act. The two meld together old and new genres, featuring live electric guitar and percussion in their performance while bringing the attitude and spirit of Rock and Roll. Casey, a self-taught music producer and DJ from Los Angeles, started producing music early on in High School alongside playing electric guitar in rock bands. Gavin, a veteran guitarist, bassist, and drummer with a history in rock and jazz, has spent several years in rock bands developing his songwriting and performance skills. The two met at the University of Colorado Boulder where they started King Kavalier performing for fraternities. They gained quick traction at the University and online, playing shows across the country and having their music featured on the world’s largest music blogs such as Trap Nation and CloudKid. Since then, they have continued to grow in popularity, playing with some of the biggest DJ’s in the world—including Whethan, Ookay, Two Friends, Ghastly, and Louis Futon.
