Born, December 13th, Joey Daniel Jude popularly known as “Kinqqa” or sometimes called “Kinqqa969” is a Lagos-based Nigerian Artiste with released singles, collabs and projects. He started making music officially in 2018, when he dropped his first song “Torture” on soundcloud. Kinqqa discovered music at age 9, Kinqqa used to write rhymes for fun and decided to keep writing and rhyming. His passion for music fully flourished when he was 17 and he has been harnessing it ever since.
His personal life influences the type of music he creates, it inspires him. Most of his released songs are based on reality, things that has either happened to him or someone he knows.
Kinqqa reeks of exceptional versatility, he makes all types of music, but he majorly specializes on one genre, his own genre that he like to call “NoirLuxe” which is a fusion of afro rhythms, moody trap, soul and rich silky sound. With his soothing vocals and his melodic rapping ability, Kinqqa makes good music no matter the genre.
Kinqqa gets his sole inspiration from the likes of Juice Wrld and XXXTentacion, they mainly inspire his type of music. He’s inspired by everyone and everything.
Kinqqa released his debut EP called G.O.D (GodlyOrDemonic) back in 2020, the idea behind that project was to try and balance “his Godly upbringing and his Demonic nature”, it took about 6 months to get the project done and ready to be released.
