Born Ji Lan Ji, Kitty Noir immigrated to the United States at a young age. She was found on the street as an infant, enduring decades of addiction and childhood trauma. Kitty Noir’s scars, trauma, fear, and journey through sobriety are what fuels her songwriting.
Featured in The Los Angeles Times twice for representing the recovery scene through her music, Kitty Noir’s album “Metaphorical Arsonist” shares about the trials and tribulations she faced during her personal recovery journey.
Her sophomore album, “War Stories” dives deeper into mental health, trauma, and substance abuse issues. The extended version of her album “War Stories (Deluxe Edition)” dives deeper into Kitty Noir’s self reflection and traumatic life experiences, geared towards helping others get through their own battles with mental health.
