Kitty Perrin's boldly intimate indie-pop melodies and vulnerable, narrative-style songwriting draws inspiration from the blunt 00s pop songs of her youth.
At the age of 11, Kitty Perrin began songwriting under the unlikely guidance of DR Feelgood guitarist Gordon Russell, and by her teens she was performing regularly across the South East.
Her debut EP 'Stick It Out' beautifully fluctuates between tenderness and empowerment. Confessions of disliked personality traits are exposed in one of the songs. Others tackle darker themes of abusive relationships and how to come out the other side of them stronger, finding solace in acceptance and being able to find positivity even in the darkest of times.
Perrin's delicate new single 'First Love' tells the story of finding peace with lost love, documenting a journey from bitter heartbreak to acceptance through one phone call.
To date, her music has earned her support from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, Clash Magazine, Beats Per Minute, The Glastonbury Emerging Talent longlist and more.
“A beautifully sculpted piece of all-too-relatable pop music”
Clash (on ‘The Escapist’)
“Reflective, conversational style of songwriting”
Beats Per Minute
“A new voice emerging ready to make a real splash”
