German musicians Tobias Forster (piano) and Kilian Forster (bass) are the Klazz Brothers. On a trip to Cuba, the brothers fell in love with Cuban music. After a casual meeting with members of <a href="spotify:artist:2wpr4ILskkRzPBGodmbMs1">Compay Segundo</a>'s band, the brothers felt the popular classical pieces they usually played could easily be adapted to the Cuban- and Afro-Cuban Jazz styles they had come to love. With a bunch of Cuban studio musicians they crowned Cuba Percussion, the brothers recorded Classic Meets Cuba, originally released in Germany in late 2002. Sony Classical reissued the album in America in early 2004. Mozart Meets Cuba followed two years later. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
