Rock? Country? Twang? Rockabilly? Gospel? Garage? Yes. His influences range from his love of Memphis' Sun Studio sound from a very early age, to country, and the Seattle sound of his formative years. Knathan was raised in the tradition of the Christian Hymn, the art of storytelling and the love of a good hook. The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Elvis, The Beach Boys, and Willie Nelson were foundational building blocks to his sense of style. These influences are heard throughout his solo released work and in his bands The Bruised Hearts Revue, The Konsonants and The Silent Ks.
