Navyan “Knavi” Williams is a Montego Bay dancehall artiste, songwriter and entrepreneur whose poetic lyrics, sharp delivery and instinct for melody reflect the many sides of his journey. Raised by a single mother in Glendevon, St. James, after losing his father at age four, Knavi turned early challenges into drive—and built a musical path inspired by the sound system his father operated during the 1990s.
Through Knavi Entertainment and World Class Music Publishing, launched in 2018, Knavi has developed his own work while helping bring new music to life.
His breakthrough came in 2017 with “12 Signs,” a song that earned industry recognition and coverage from outlets including The Star, Western Mirror, Hype TV, RETV and ZIP FM. He has produced songs including “Paid in Full,” “Sexy Moan” and “Balmain Bomber.” Knavi has also released “Different” and “Bad Boy,” while “Meech Out” helped propel him into wider local and international attention, with appearances on Onstage, The Fix and other Jamaican media platforms.
Today, Knavi is building The Hybrid—a movement shaped by the Edge, his hard-hitting dancehall energy and confidence, and the Depth, his melodic, vulnerable and reflective side. His next chapter includes “Di-Life,” an upcoming collaboration with dancehall star Rygin King, and multiple hit singles.
From Montego Bay to the studio and beyond, Knavi is creating music and a movement with the ambition to reach Jamaica and the world.
