Knockout emerged from Chicago, IL, in January 1999. They recorded a few demos themselves in their suburban home studio and released a nine-song record titled Driven to Distraction on Mr. Good Records in September of 2001. After touring their area code heavily with fellow emo-poppers Fall Out Boy and 5o4plan, they landed a deal with Fearless Records in 2002, and put out their full-length CD, Searching for Solid Ground, that October. As Knockout toured more extensively, the road began to take its toll on the group. Shuffling through ten members in their four years as a band, in August of 2003 the guys in Knockout decided to call it quits. ~ Jason Lymangrover, Rovi
