As a self-made DJ, producer, Audio engineer and instrumentalist versed in a multitude of industry talents, Komari “K-Rucka” Bailey is a universally-skilled music artist based in the Greater New York City area.
Komari was raised between NW Washington D.C, and Bronx, New York, tapping into his love for music at only 9-years-old when he first learned to play the piano.
Allowing his penchant for sound to guide him to his next sonically creative roles, Komari picked up producing and engineering in 2007 and began DJ’ing in 2016. He would go on to study the art of sound tabling so masterfully that he was nabbed as Dreamville artist Ari Lennox’s official DJ and join J. Cole’s 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour of 2017.
Between 2014 and 2016, he grew into his role as an official partner, head engineer and producer of Black Wax Creative Studio. Amongst many achievements during this time, Komari collaborated his creative forces with Various talents during this time, including Khalid, Skepta, Tunji
Ige, A$AP Mob, Jaden Smith, the late Fredo Santana. Prior to the Black Wax Studio team’s decision to close its doors and redirect, Komari dedicated his engineering work to Khalid’s critically-acclaimed American Teen debut album, officially marking him as a Grammy Award-nominated engineer.
In 2014, Komari founded and established his growing label venture “50 Billion” which he is currently organizing, producing, mixing and arranging records for himself and other artist.
