Spewed forth in 2017, Kommodus is a one-man black metal band from Australia. The music is characterised by its relentless and crushing sound, drawing inspiration from Roman paganism, lycanthropy, ancient battlefields, and folkloric horror. Led by the enigmatic Lepidus Plague, Kommodus has garnered attention for its raw yet eclectic musical output often blending feral black metal with thrash groove, melancholic folk sections, and unorthodox instrumentation.
