With ethereal vocals and detailed electronic production, 'Komorebi' is the brainchild of Canadian-Indian singer and producer Tarana Marwah. Hailing from India’s vibrant independent music scene, Komorebi is an original voice of the future, and the face of Indian Electronic/Alternative and Indie music. She is known widely for her avant-garde fashion, high concept visuals, and the raw passion she injects into every album, often telling the story of her life, love, and relationships.
Komorebi was announced as Spotify’s 2023 RADAR Artist and was the face of their Global 2023 RADAR campaign. She was selected as an Apple UP NEXT Artist for her album “The Fall”, which won the Indian Music Diaries ‘Album of the Year’. Her music video for ‘Little One’ scored her a nomination at MTV Europe Music Awards 2019 for “Best Artist of the Year”.
Komorebi has toured extensively nationally and internationally, performing at music festivals such as Focus Wales 2023 (UK), SXSW 2022 & 2019 (US), Treefort (US), MusicMatters (LK), Nh7 Weekender, Magnetic Fields, Echoes of Earth, VH1 Supersonic, Red Bull Tour Bus, and Ziro Festival. She has opened for notable acts like Khruangbin, SQUID, HVOB, Tennyson, Westlife and recently played Lollapalooza (IN), sharing the main stage with stalwarts like Anoushka Shankar, Keane and Sting. Komorebi is also well known for her work in the Indian film scoring and fashion industries. Her latest song “Bayo” for UMG’s 'Coke Studio Bharat' won her a Canne Lion in 2025.
