Kontrol

"Контрол" (Kontrol) is a bulgarian rock band. It's the most influential punk band in the country. The band was formed in the late eighties with it's first demo named "Старият дъб" being released in 1988.
In 1990 Kontrol released their second album with the tittle "БУМ" . The majority of the songs on the album became an instant hit with the fans and are still in the bands live set list.
The third studio album and the most succesfull one was named "Леле како". Songs like "Най-щастливият ден", "Булка", "Бий хлапето", "Леле како" and "Дайте ми" became rock clasics in Bulgaria and are well known to generations of fans.
The fourth album tittled "ЛЮБОFF" came out in 1994. It solidified the band stature as one of the biggest bands in Bulgaria. A short while after that the bands frontman Nikolay Iordanov left the band.
Kontrol recorded their fifth album in 1999 with a new frontman - Peter Stanoev. The album named "Пазете си децата" was a bit heavier than the others but caried the same vibe and same direction as lyrics go.
The band parted ways with it's second singer and reunited with the first one for a few big arena shows in 2009 playing with big Bulgarian and international bands like "Kultur Shock", Pero Defformero", BRKOVI, "Хиподил", "Ревю" etc.
The band came out of hibarnation in 2014 and were joined by their current frontman - Ivan Gatev. Kontrol released an album called "9" in 2017 and are very active promoting it - touring the country before and after it's release.
